How do I come up with an idea that both appeals to children, teens, and adults?

I was making a game for teens and adults but then realized that most people on roblox are children.

So how do I make a game that appeals to children, teens, and adults?

Thanks,

Be sure that your game is fun, family friendly, and has multiple levels of difficulty.

Think outside of the box. Games like Arsenal and Robot 64 were able to pull this off with combining elements that people of all ages can enjoy (Arsenal isn’t really a good example of this though).

I do believe however if your starting out, you shouldn’t be focusing one all 3 age types, unless you have previous developing experience.

That’s a really hard process.
First analyze what people like: For example kids like Roleplay and Adults like war
Second: Look at other games that are appealing for children, teens and adults.
An example: Minecraft or Fortnite
Third: find which are the features that are liked the most from the various ages.
An Example: kids like socializing, adults like action
Fourth: Combine them all in a way that they can be in a game without contrasting each other (Example: You can’t make an adopt me where you shoot at people, these are 2 contrasting features).

But my advice is to focus only on one or two, not on all the three. It will most likely come out a messy.
The best thing to do now on Roblox is to focus on Kids and Teens age

I think you should mainly focus on either one or two age groups instead of all three, pulling off all three is difficult unless you have a lot of experience as a developer. Since most of the players on Roblox are teens and children you should focus on making games towards them but you can also make games that are more geared toward the small adult side of Roblox.

Harrowed are you talking about the game we are making Vice City?

Maybe add different parts that appeal to everyone or add something for every age in every part of the game.

All ages love violent games. Any game with fighting typically will keep an audience, while roleplaying games do not, because you aren’t competing for anything.
