You can still get basically the same material selection dropdown by going to the part’s properties and going to the material selection.

you can delete the menu by just Delete the file
Open file location, [Roblox studio].
or just delete the image menu

Hey! I do also find Material Manager annoying, to dissable it just go to:
FILE → Beta Features
Disable Material Service → Save → Press Restart when a window pops up.
That should be all, then you will get the original Material Menu.

I mean lads I find it much easier to organise and upload my PBR textures with it but I’m just wondering what makes it so hard to use for you guys?
Honestly, the dropbox staying right under the material manager felt more organized than just having it as a separate frame. I think the only thing I would consider is that they made it possible to do that aswell without requiring to use another frame and instead follow almost the similarities of the dropbox, and if necessary add a button to either extend or anything that would help, however I believe now you cannot disable Material Manager anymore.

I formatted my pc and when I downloaded studio again I no longer get the original materials, and it doesn’t let me disable them from the beta features either

as a new developer to roblox studio, the material manager isnt helping me, its actually hurting my efficiency . the original is so much easier. it sometimes even crashes, and i have to manually change materials from properties. i really hope roblox gives us the option. cuz i hate it.

You can’t disable material service from the beta features panel anymore since it’s been released now but you can still change the materials in the properties box which is similar the old material selector

Guys material manager can make normal parts pbr thats good part of it. You can just make mesh parts pbr in normal properties and also material manager using is easy.
