How do I get rid of the new forced UI?

really, why are you using ai to write for you?

one reason i checked, its because of these things

AI uses them all the time, i treat them as a AI watermark space

I want AI to optimize the message I want to convey and generate change, but I’m not explaining it well. Is there a problem? The AI didn’t think about my message; it just optimized it. I don’t know what it’s trying to achieve. Is it trying to dismiss my message?

in my opinion, democracy is the way.

aim: to consider the entire roblox studio community
procedure: simple survey built into studio after the release of a studio-centric feature. roblox devs choose a response. if the difference in response percentage (between 2 responses) is under 20%, then continue with the popular feature. if it’s over 20%, then give it another month before redoing the poll, and halve the margin.

this is a preferred way over your companies unstable and centralized methods of pushing updates.

in a perfect world, community-driven debates are ideal. like literally, 8-10 roblox staff judge whether the affirmative or negative was more persuasive in discussing a feature. this considers people like baconking up above that have genuine issues with the ribbon like performance

just an idea- these are spur of the moment ideas. but having features entirely authoritarian is negatively impacting the platform. my point is democracy

Democracy doesn’t work when users don’t know what they want or why something is being removed. Engine changes and features are deprecated and removed not always because it is due to the company board, but because they are old and unmaintainable. It doesn’t matter if you want a “toggle” or not.

makes sense :+1:
but in that case wouldn’t a debate-like system work? not the idea in my original message, but instead creating an in-studio survey in which a user can directly state why or why not a given feature works. then roblox aggregates the communities feedback and has AI fact-check and summarize / evaluate it and they work from there. i imagine that’d consider both quantity and quality nicely.

i remember a while ago (like between 5-9 years ago) the devforums had some sort of survey thing.

i wish roblox would’ve refactored the ribbon code. they have a more-often-than-not tendency to bloat, overcomplicate, or unnecessarily change the platform and its almost like they don’t consider code reviewing though i’m sure they do.

The studio UI seems to just continue to degrade in functionality from its first release ribbon when hidden buttons don’t register being clicked, ribbon when hidden disappears the millisecond your mouse goes off the UI so it often disappears when you’re trying to mouse to a button. Still no QoL for editing buttons you still have to repeatedly click move to the left or right since buttons always spawn at the end of the ribbon so if you want a button further up you gotta slowly move it up.

The old studio UI was way better, this still just feels like an update for the sake of updates to not be fired from a company.

It’s under File > Import, though.

But that’s for meshes no? I want to import rbxm files

you can also just directly drag and drop the .rbxm file into the window, like what i do

Right above that, there is an option for .rbxm as well.
