When will the lag issues with the New Gen Explorer be addressed? Ever since that update, my frame rate has dropped from around 200 FPS to just 1 to 10 FPS it’s become nearly impossible to work efficiently.

Wait, does anyone know why the UI was changed?
I think the biggest problem is creators see the defaults and think that’s all there is to it. Which is reasonable given we have not really offered a lot of customization/options in the past.
We know it’s frustrating because you don’t open Studio to learn a new UI system. But there really is a lot of power here if you take a little time to explore. Some details on what’s possible is here:

+1. I’m experiencing this issue as well. Also the visualization modes window moves based on the button, so if the position of the button ever moves (which it sometimes does when the main window size changes), the visualization modes window also appears in a different location.
Paul I genuinely don’t want to spend time learning and having to tune it to my dev style. Why can’t you guys make a preset or option that mimics the layout of the last one?
I think allowing us creators to make our new tabs with things we’d like is good.
they could just give us the fflags back…
Actually, that’s a great idea. Why not bring back the old layout? Keep the current design but allow it to mirror the old one.
my point isn’t that custom tabs are bad, it’s that the layout is complete ass without having to modify it yourself
There’s known issues with non-integer display scaling. So if your scale factor is something like 1.5x (150%) vs 2x (200%) then you may see soft rendering. It’s an engine issue and they are very aware.
fair point, i dislike the new layout aswell i just like the ability to move it around is all
allowing the developer to choose what goes in their tab is the good part. The old ui had so many things that i have never touched including entire tabs like the scripting and ui tab. With this ui im no longer forced to have those clutter my workspace. That is good.
