I am creating a WW2 Military Roleplaying game and want some feedback or ideas on monetization!
My current idea is just gamepasses such as Ranks, Guns and Access Passes. I dont really think this is a good way of monetization so I want to hear your guys thoughts. Leave comments in the description if this is a good way, if its not or if you have more ways of monetization!
Do 5k ads, if you don’t earn profit rethink your game then launch another 5k ad until you earn profit repeat the steps. Once you get profit you can put bigger ads like 7.5k or 10k.
Micro-transactions are extremely popular and profitable. For example, you can sell in-game-currency, items, clothings, weapons, tools etc.
To be honest, micro-transactions is the way to go if you want to actually earn some money. Of course, the game passes also bring in some $$, but not to the same extent as you would with developer products. Micro-transactions also add more value to the game, but you have to be cautious so that it feels like a natural part of the game, and not something for exclusive members only (as an example).
Imagine someone playing your game properly for several hours and then somebody can just purchase what they gained in 3 seconds with Robux instead of doing some work themselves too. The other player would quit because they think it’s unfair. Yes, you should be able to buy things, but make it count for something.
Gamepasses, dev products are probably the best way to monetize a game but before you start monetizing, make sure you know what are you doing because if you monetized it too much, usually your game will be “dead” (no activity) after a couples of weeks, but if you didn’t monetize enough, the same result occured, again! An example for not monetizing enough is probably IPS2 (in plain sight 2) which is by all_duck. The game is awesome, high quality but the game didn’t monetize enough, causing the players feel bored after a few hours of playing.
