How do I replicate this effect

Trying to make an effect ive seen in a game [🦑] Steal A Fish! - Roblox and im trying to replicate how the fish bob up and down when theyre on the water stream and when you purchase them and they go to your base, ive tried using tweenservice to do it but my attempts have been unsuccessful because the movements are either too erratic or dont really do what im looking for.

Im assuming they’re using an animation so is there a way I can do it without having to use animations since i want to apply the effect on a boat model without a humanoid, heres a vid of what it looks like in the game ive shown above. https://gyazo.com/659d966b727a4c5ea4d55669cc72ef88

i mean you could create a humanoid rig, and make the fish bob up or down with sine waves by changing the hipheight propertty.

and you could use the moveTo function to move the fish into the base

Oh no, the fish come from the game i linked. Im working on boats, I could try doing this but I’m not sure it’d have the intended effects

Didn’t work(3o charrrrrrrrrrrrs)

day later and ive tried more things, using runservice, etc etc. Still cant find anything that works

that is an animation on a character rig

Is there a way I’d be able to animate the boat without it being a humanoid object?

This might be the answer. Using animations you can accomplish the movement, the bobbing and the turning all at the same time. This would be my answer.

As for animating non humanoid objects, possibly you could consider combining a method of Bezier curves and lerping, which I think you should research into.

Why don’t you want to use humanoids?

Have you tried using math.sin() to offset the Y axis of the boat?
