for the pirate game i’m working on, i’m trying to make every playername display, rank display, and the bounty display at the end.
my issue is spacing. some players have over twenty character usernames, some bounties may be over 1,000,000,000 if the players get strong enough. i really don’t know how i can space out the ui to compensate for this.
You could add abbreviation to the amount of money and you would need to worry about spacing at all.
well that fixes that, but how do I fix the username problem? do I just do the same thing where if a players name is “acoacawiaocnaocawid” it will display as “acoaca…”
You could but the max characters is 20 so you could try making sure theres always enough space for 20 or like you said cut it off.
