How do I split a mesh into segments that are >10k triangles each? (Blender)

I have a mesh that’s 100k triangles and if I decimate geometry any more it’ll ruin it, so I figured I could split the mesh into segments that are 10k triangles each so that I can upload it using the new mesh importer. Is that doable in blender automatically?

The quick answer is no there isn’t an automatic way to subdivide meshes to 10k triangles each. You have to split the mesh along multiple even parts or whatever will be easiest for u to reconfigure when you import back into studio.

There is a plug that will convert your 100k mesh into a 10k mesh part though… but quality will suffer.

Do you know how I can split my mesh manually?

I can’t do that, my mesh already had 2million triangles and lowered it all the way to 100k.

Why is this in #help-and-feedback:scripting-support? This should be in #help-and-feedback:art-design-support.

Oof, I thought I made one there because I clicked the new post button there, but since I already had a draft here I edited the draft and it posted here.

I’ll delete this and post it where it belongs, thanks.
