How do i stop this "mirage" effect from happening?

ok, so i was going to upload a video, but for some reason, once it reaches 100%, it says it is unable to upload. the file format is mp4. why is this happening? is it my trust level or something?

the problem:
I am making a CTF game with two teams, and each team on their own island. the problem is is that from where im standing, let’s say blue team’s island, red team’s island and the buildings on it appear to be floating and unconnected.

the base of the island is terrain, grass to be exact. once i move close enough, I can see the island is perfectly fine and the buildings and such are connected to the ground.

How do i stop this effect?

I think this just has to do with render distance. I know if you change your quality settings in-game to high, you can see much further with much more detail. The lower these settings are, the more basic the game will look and the shorter your render distance is. There could be a different way, but this is what I know from the quality settings in-game.

It’s probably because the video is too large, either compress it or upload it to youtube.

Cool, thanks!

Ohhhhhhhh that makes sense, I don’t think I’ve seen videos even posted on the forum before, only gifs. Thanks!

The issue you have there is the RenderDistance for the islands. A way to fix this is by increasing your graphics level in your game through the start menu.

I believe there is no limit as to how large an MP4 file can be inserted, but @Johninhalesoxygen just as a precaution, if you do want to insert videos into topics, try to decrease the video recording time.
