How do I upload audios that are longer than 10 seconds (for example Songs)?

I want to upload an audio that is 1:15 minutes long. Is there a way to bypass this or to upload it as a song instead of sfx?

if you upload it, it will only be able to be used in your games

Okay, but it isn’t working for audios under 10 seconds too I don’t know what to do now.

show picture? Idk what you’re talking about because if you’re trying to make an audio for your game it can be up to 7 minutes long

I play this one game that uses ID’s in soundblocks but the problem im having is i cant upload it on the market place

the audio is 8.2 Seconds long.

yeah that’s correct… why do you need to distribute it on the marketplace? Unless you’re a verified sound creator you cannot distribute more than 10 seconds on the marketplace. They purposefully made it this way because people were using the audio system to upload bypassed and/or copyrighted audios

I want to distribute it because in the game you cannot use audios that aren’t on the marketplace for some crazy Roblox reason I’m not sure wich one but you cant use audio’s that arent on the market place they just dont work for some reason?

It is NOT some kind of crazy Roblox reason. Do you want people uploading explicit and copyrighted audios on Roblox? Nope. That’s why it’s not okay for random people to distribute audios to the public on Roblox.

You can use audios that are uploaded by verified audio creators as well as 10 second or less audios that were uploaded by anyone. That’s it. Thank you for understanding!

Okay thank you so much. I appreciate you trying to help.

You’re welcome! The rules may become stricter as time goes on so this 10 second audio thing might disappear someday. They are just keeping it that way until someone sues them again. 10 seconds is still long enough that there can be inappropriate and copyrighted content and it does not protect them. It’s a deterrent to people who wish to break the rules, however, a truly determined rule breaker will misuse those 10 seconds and that will mark the end of public audios on Roblox. The only way in the future that you’ll be able to use audios is solely by verified audio creators where Roblox can simply remove their license to upload if they choose to misuse it.
