How do people play mainstream songs (justin bieber for example) in their games?

Theres some huge karaoke games that play popular songs that I would have thought would be copyrighted and therefore the game banned, also games like “Better song?” have millions of visits. How do I add songs into my game like this? Is it possible? Why don’t they get banned or game taken down if its not possible?

After some brief research, I’ve discovered that if you legally own a license for a song, you can contact songclearance@roblox.com to make it admissible for use in your game.

Any other instances would likely be more illicit tricks with distorting audio and other methods. I’m not sure how long those would slide with moderation, though, especially on large games. Hope this helps.

For any user trying to go this route, be careful!!! I sent an email to them 3 weeks ago with a license and song I needed cleared and still have hear zero response from them.
