How do you rotate along the cursor in Blender

I am trying to create a lamp.

I am trying to rotate a cylinder along the cursor in blender but when ever I rotate this happens:

  • What solutions have you tried so far? (Have you searched for solutions through the Roblox Wiki yet?)

I have tried looking at videos (Could not find anything). I could not find a topic on this either.

If by “rotate along the cursor”, you mean, rotate around it, then you can left click your object in object mode and you’ll see an option that says “Set origin” or something like that. hover over that, and you’ll see more option including “Origin to 3D cursor”. Select that, and then when you rotate your object, it’ll rotate around the 3D cursor.

That did not work? Is there a setting to rotate it around the 3D cursor?

Edit: I figured it out turns out there was a setting!
