How large should my map be?

I want to make an open world game, with plenty of exploration and fun. How many studs should it be? (minimum and maximum?)

How are we supposed to know what your game is like? Just try and find the best one that fits your game

I mean it depends on how the open world works. One thing you will want to consider is splitting different part of the open world into different places, rather than having one extremely large and laggy place

I recommend building first the map from the center or whatever you want your worldmap direction would be. Creating it from the starting point to the maximum largest size will help you detail your map easier and it’s well organized rather than expecting first a large size number. This will also help optimize your game. By doing that, you’re also wanting your players to seek larger place as your future updates. It’s like a medium sized map but expandable (like Jailbreak).

For so something like an open world game, I would say it should be about 143691 studs by 143691 studs. Though, you can change this amount to your likings.
