How many entries make for a good global leaderboard?

Hello!

I’m currently working on a few global leaderboards for my game and I sorta had this question in mind for awhile. The question is: how many entries should be shown on a global leaderboard?

I’ve seen a variety of leaderboards, often between 100 and 1000 players (usually factors of 250).

So how many would be a good amount generally speaking?

I would say 100 because I don’t really think anyone pays attention to them much but I think it’s still good to have the top 100, and I think anything over 250 is a bit much but what do you think a good range would be?

What about doing 150?
And as you said, people don’t look up on it a lot but maybe for someone who is aiming go climb that leaderboard would want to see his/her username there as soon as possible so keeping the global amount too less might bring you some unhappy players.
