The inventory should have: Sniper, Rifle, Automatic Rifle, Handgun, Automatic Handgun, and a Melee weapon, most likely a knife of some sort. I really hope this helps!
Considering that you have different gamemodes, it would best to have various maps. Make sure they are ideal for FPS, and are enjoyable to play on. You want the maps to not be somewhat large but not too spacious, and have some sort of repetitiveness. You don’t want the player to be seeking out enemies, but this depends on your core gameplay, ect, and what you’re aiming for. These maps should consists of various textures, buildings and structures of different sizes and levels, arts assests and ect. Overall, it’s up to you to decide how much maps to create, but a variety is always nice.
Not sure if you’re wanting a number, but various in this context would mean perhaps between 5-10. I can’t really give a number because I’m not sure about the context of your game, e.g a voting system or choosing your map individually when you’re playing…
If your main concerns was how should my beta game feature how many maps/weapon, there isn’t a wrong answer a lot of games feature 3 maps beta and when release there’s different maps including a variety of war modes.
Usually a bunch of fps maps feature a bunch of objects large maps minimum in beta. If you view other games that are in beta you’ll see there’s more than 3 and one war mode when release, there’ll be over 13-16, however that depends on if your game features a variety of large spaces that could be filled with different objects to enhance the design a bit more. Meaning there should be a limited access until it’s fully release.
Take a look at existing shooting games - or read articles about that specific game and you’ll see or guess how many maps/weapons it was in beta everyone has different options. For weapons, it depends I’ll try to include a variety of weapons just to give players a more interesting - attractive game you want an actual gameplay and not something that’s rushed and not well put together.
