I think the more players the better.
I was told to do networkownership on each car so the player will be able to handle their own car and reduce lag on server.
Will this be okay?

I would suggest to lower it to 10 - 20 players if your game has a lot of other decoration assets.
I don’t think it would necessarily cause a lot of lag (to the point of major fps loss) but it would definitely hit user experience since it could seem a bit too crowded.
