i’m making my game entirely out of roblox parts, and from what i hear, they’re not very optimized. now this might be a delusional, sleep deprived fear i’m getting, but i’m just curious.
Parts have a one-time replication cost and then never matter ever again, if they’re anchored. It has a very low physics cost for the other parts that are simulated, but the acceleration structures that Roblox’s LDL-PGS solver uses are very efficient for this purpose, you probably won’t even notice.
If you’re talking about unanchored parts though - yeah no, Roblox can not handle more than around 2,000 unanchored parts. Otherwise it starts lagging terribly and slowing down time to compensate.
