How to anchor npc but still allow animations to play?

I want to make an npc not be able to move yet still be able to play animations which move the body. EX: levitate animation which hoveers npc in the air.

just anchor its humanoid root part or set its walkspeed to 0

Look into using weld constraints! if you weld a part underneath the humanoid to it it’s root part, the npc can’t be moved all while still being able to play animations!
