How to Automate "Last Change" Timestamp Plugin/Automator?

  1. What do you want to achieve?

I want to make an automated system that puts a version timestamp on a script that I edit at the very top. Something simple like:

“Last changed by Dragonfable6000 on 5/9/2025 @ 9:44 PM PST”

  1. What is the issue?

I’m not sure how to approach this.

  1. What solutions have you tried so far?

I looked into a guide on how to make plugins, but I have not found any specifics that would modify the script itself.
