How to effectively decrease polygons? (UGC Falling appart..)

Hey Developers!

So i tried making my own UGC Shoulder Pal, but there’s a slight problem. I’m WAY over the limit of 4000 polygons… With almost 9000 Polygons. Sadly, when i decrease the quality of my shoulder pal in blender using Decimate, it just breakes the UGC.

How it looks with 9000 Polygons:

Basically the head is destroyed… And i have no idea how to fix this problem. That’s why i would be really happy for any help!
