So I made a new game that reached over 10K visits, and it’s been getting relatively good feedback, but players don’t seem to be coming back…
My game is a simulator game with a unique idea: You’re a dog, and you run around to get treats and bones! You can use treats to buy new areas and get charms (which give you random buffs), and you can use bones to buy upgrades and teleports to areas. I just added badges for unlocking new areas (and will soon add more badges for getting all upgrades and such), and I’ve made a daily leaderboard for most treats collected to try and keep players coming back, but I don’t think it’s working.
If you’d like, leave some feedback about anything in the game, but I’d also like feedback on how to improve player retention. In other words, how can I get players to come back? Thank you!
Im pretty sure it’s impossible to get a player to come back from playing the game. They will only come back once the game is popular, so you have to find a way to make your game popular.
You should add daily rewards that are actually good.
Impossible but try to ask youtuber review your game and post in youtube maybe it can help. sometime need update and Major update it will gain players a bit.
Add more content! Also make when I tested the game it felt a little slow. The scripting was impressive but there’s nothing interesting when there is 10,000 other games similar like it. Add stuff like skins or pets (even though your a pet yourself) Your definitely on a bigger and better path than I am.
I will give you the best idea for your game.
Make it so you can pee on wood / stone and ect and then the pee will burn down the wood / stone
You will earn cash or whatever you want.
After playing it for a little, the game got a little boring. All I did was walk around and collect treats with really nothing else to do. This game needs more content but once you achieve that I think this can really be something.
I also noticed that after the city map (which we look really good.) the maps started to look a little rushed.
