How to get rid of assets? (DMCA/Trademark Violation concerns)

Hello everyone, I need help.

I recently received a warning from ROBLOX’s DMCA team saying “hey, we remove done of the things you uploaded. because of DMCA” I decided to look back at everything and saw there was a lotta stuff I should remove.

I decided to send a report to both the copyright agent and the asset removal request. Was this the overall right thing to do or is there any other steps I should take to remove any assets that might infringe on DMCA? Even after archiving said assets, they can still set a warning on my account, so. That’s mostly why I came to here to make sure if there’s anything else I’m not aware of.

Any help would be appreciated, because I really don’t want to lose my ROBLOX account over stuff I uploaded almost eight years ago as a dumb kid.

There is also a way to manually archive 2D clothing provided that you have waited 180 days.

Hi,

All the old assets in question are already archived. I did some research, and it looks like all archived assets are still able to be moderated. They were all archived when the feature came out, and such assets were made way back years ago.

I am asking how I should go about removing any other assets, as I’ve already contacted their copyright agent and their support team. I am unsure what else to do.

The only thing you can do is wait really. Even then its not a guarantee the items will even be deleted. I got lucky for some of my tickets and ended up getting a human manually deleted them, others were “deleted” but still ended up getting moderated despite doing everything possible.

Playing the waiting game seems to be the best option in this scenario alongside the request to removal (since it serves as proof one tried to get things removed). Hopefully this gets solved. I’ve seen other people getting trademark violation strikes as well, so I’m assuming there’s just a massive wave going on to get rid of copyright infringement material.

Update:

Your best bet is to just send an email to both ROBLOX support and Copyright Agent. So, if you are stricken with a trademark violation, they can help you quickly. This only applies to assets that were made before 2019/2020. Anything made before that I’m assuming you won’t have much luck. Appeal if you get any strikes.

It may take a month or years, considering the longest I’ve seen for these types of things was three years, for them to actually remove said assets, but at least you have that hope they will do so in the future.

Thank you anyone who helped and/or contributed.
