How to get Roblox GUI tween?

Hi everyone,

So I think everyone knows how a tween works and how to make one. But I was wondering how I can make a tween that looks pretty much like Roblox GUI tweens (GUI tweens like how Roblox made it). If you wanna see what I mean open Roblox Player (or the Roblox app if you’re on mobile) (not the website), then try one of these steps:

  1. Click on a game and click on the thumbnail. Then press the next button on the right side (swipe to the right on mobile) or the previous button on the left side (swipe to the left on mobile). You should hopefully see the tween.

  2. Get into a game, then open the “Select a chat to report” menu (chat window > three dots > Report Abuse). You should see a tween Then close the menu, the tween should play again.

  3. Get into a game, then click a player in the player list. A player menu should show up, with the tween! If you close it the tween plays again.

If you still don’t know what I mean then here are a few videos. I know they are a bit laggy but I think you can see what I mean:

Game: Fisch

Game: cart ride around nothing

Game: cart ride around nothing

  1. What I want is the Roblox GUI tween for my GUIs that you see in the videos or when doing the examples.

  2. The issue is Roblox has no option to use that tween, so it’s hard to get exactly what I want.

  3. The closest I could get is by using the easing style Quint or Exponential with easing direction Out. Maybe if they get mixed up I could get even closer to what I want.

Why do I want to use these GUI tweens?

I made literally EVERY GUI in my game to fit how Roblox GUIs look, or else my GUIs would look so different compared to the core GUIs (default Roblox GUIs). I want these tweens so it fits my GUIs even more with Roblox GUIs.

If anyone knows how to make such a tween then I would really appreciate it!

Maybe Cubic? It is unclear what you’re asking for here.

Try reading the entire topic. I know reading is boring but you’ll understand what I mean.

Core UI scripts are closed-source unfortunately. Likely you’ll be doing trial and error until you find something similar. It is possible to get the tween’s that are used as to my knowledge the core UI utilizes TweenService & related enums. Would you be willing to share the use case?.

Sorry for the slow reply, I was doing other things.

But I’m trying to get the default Roblox GUI tweens because I made literally ALL my GUIs in my game to match the Roblox theme. If I know how to get the default Roblox GUI tween I could adjust the GUIs so it fits even more.

this just looks like linear lol

that looks barely like linear, look closely, you can see the tween getting slower

ease out quart or ease out expo is probably as close as u can get to this

yes, i use exponential currently

But maybe i can get closer to what i want.

It a spring, it 100% a spring. Idk how you guys manage to think it was tween somehow?.

If your wondering what the difference is, tween use linear style of animation. While Springs work in motion.

Ok, I’ll try a spring then. Thanks for the advice

but how do I create one?

u do that using a UI spring module, if u don’t know what they are u are probably better off using tweens for now
