How to make my Roblox build less laggy?

Hello all

I’m a programmer so I don’t know that much about building so don’t judge my knowledge for this part of development.

I’m currently making a game and I have this build I built in Studio and its about 280 parts and the game will probably not have more than 500 parts. Should I optimize my build by doing some stuff in blender or weld it or leave it as it is?

Thanks

well, sometimes when my map is too big, i just put all stuff inside serverstorage, problem solved, and i only focus on which scenario i’m working on , studio cause alot of lag idk why, when you actually Test and play, you will notice that the lag will fade ( depends on the device’s power, etc)

So I should just leave as is I guess?

500 parts is not really much. You can anchor parts to disable their physics simulation, if you’re after that. Other than that, I don’t think you’ll have any noticeable difference.

500 parts aren’t that much if you think about it! did you use big-size assets? What I like to do is that I take all of my unions to blender and optimize it and it works! you would be surprised how much it helps out

Thanks for the advice. It’s just 6,6, .5 squares organized to make a shape for my game.
