Hey everyone, I’ve been wondering how I can save my Roblox game as an .rbxlx file. When I choose to download a copy, it only lets me save it as an .rbxl file. I tried asking AI how to do it, and it told me to choose “Save to File As,” but I don’t see that option. If anyone knows how I can do this, it would be greatly appreciated.
The option might not be available in team create, but in normal games you can Save to File As (CTRL + Shift + S) and select rbxlx from the filetype dropdown
Save your game first as a .rbxm. Once you open your rbxm, you’ll be able to export it as a .rbxlx.
This is not working. I do CTRL + Shift + S and nothing happens. I am not in Team Create.
I do not see an option to save it as .rbxm, I might be missing something.
Are you sure this is not team create? The “Download a Copy” option only appears in team create as far as I’m aware.
You could try downloading a copy, opening it, and then Saving to File As, as mentioned previously. Slightly roundabout way, but I don’t know how else you could do it
You might be right, how can I leave team create?
File → experience settings → switch team create off
Its how I remember, maybe you need to search in experience settings
By the way, maybe you’ll try to publish it? Experience settings may not be accessed if your experience isn’t published
Perfect, you were right, thank you so much!
Click on “Download a copy”, this will download an .rbxm which you can open. Then, go to “Save to File As” to get the .rbxlx.
This is the correct solution if you don’t want to turn Team Create off.
