I have a decent QA team of 10-12 people, but with new age requirements ALL of them are unable to join a temporary maintenance game to test new features (some of them are 14-15 y/o, and some of them aren’t age checked).
It’s really annoying that I’m losing potential leisure time for myself because I need to test all new stuff I’m adding to the game.
How can I fix it/bypass it in some way? I’d appreciate any help provided!
(Also some details and things I’ve tried doing: the group role has playtest access to the game, I can’t add them as trusted friends because I’m in EU and most of testers are in remote areas of Russia, like Siberia or Vladivostok)
Distribute a local studio file for them to play on locally
Pay the 100k (refundable) expedited review fee
Have all current testers trick the face-scan check to get >16 age group
You can’t “fix” or “bypass” it at all without just getting people who meet the requirements or having those people create alts and tricking the face scanning AI into thinking they’re >16.
I think this would be very bad. If OP hasn’t signed a legal binding contract with their testers. Because they can pretty much easily steal the files and reupload them or sell them.
Thanks for the reply! And yeah I was thinking about giving a local game file, but as @mirawvj stated, it’s not safe.
Probably the most optimal and balanced option will be to trick AI, I guess that’s what I’m going to tell them to do lol
