i think the problem lies in that your killer model doesnt have a humanoid description. either you can try making a humanoid description or you can just replace the player’s character. also, please note that these have to be SERVER scripts.
local killerModel = game.ReplicatedStorage["Butcher Files"].StarterCharacter:Clone()
-- set up the new killer character model
killerModel.Name = killer.Name
killerModel.Parent = workspace
-- get the old character's position (not needed if you're teleporting them to the map like in forsaken)
local oldCFrame = killer.Character:GetPivot()
-- store the player's old character to destroy later on
local oldCharacter = killer.Character
-- replace the killer's character
killer.Character = killerModel
killerModel:PivotTo(oldCFrame)
-- destroy the old character otherwise it would be like a lifeless body js lying there...
oldCharacter:Destroy()
as for your camera issue, you need a CLIENT sided script to change the camera subject like so
local camera = workspace.CurrentCamera
camera.CameraSubject = killerModel:WaitForChild("Humanoid")
i don’t think replacing the players character will work, i need it to make the player change their appearance. the cleanest way i found to do this is to remove all the player’s avitar items and then add avitar items to them, but this takes a million lines. maybe if i can find a way to replace the players character in a way that actually works then i will use that.
This is most likely due to how your killer rig is set up. Try replacing your killer rig with a completely blank rig from the avatar inserter. If it still doesn’t work, I will try to assist you further.
i have it working fine how it is (remove everything on the player then add everything to them), it works rn but i’ll try to get all this working on a seperate project for now to get it working right.
Alright. Also, one more thing to try: you can attempt to create a custom humanoid description manually so that apply description will work. Just a suggestion.
