How would I go around migrating from roblox datastores to profileservice?

    I want to migrate my current datastores in my game into profileservice datastores
  2. What is the issue? Include screenshots / videos if possible!
    People will lose their data if I do so
  3. What solutions have you tried so far? Did you look for solutions on the Developer Hub?
    Looked for solutions on developer hub and youtube

as long as datastores are working for you, then I don’t recommend losing players data to switch to a new thing that also uses datastores but does some other things.

The players in my game have been losing data, I assume it’s because of rate limits.

First off ProfileService uses Roblox Datastores. I assume your question is how to I regular data into profiles that ProfileService uses.

Secondly, I always recommend using ProfileService unlike @PorchThatHuantsMe . ProfileService is the most overpowered way of safely handling player data.

Thirdly, what you can do to migrate to ProfileService is:

  1. Learn ProfileService
  2. Create a migrator script when a player joins that checks if they have old data. If they do, simply move that data into the new Profile you created for them.
