How would you achieve the "grainy" effect seen in movies?

I am currently building the Grand Budapest Hotel

I was wondering, how would one go about creating the effect seen in Wes Anderson movies? The almost grainy-like / vintage film as seen in the original Grand Budapest Hotel movie?

Any help is appreciated!

You can add an overlay to it or you can use editable images to make your own grain.

exactly what johnny said. make a few grain image overlays (smtn like white noise), or if you can, use an editableimage and every few frames generate a new grain

dont have it update all at once tho since it will lag
