How would you feel about a social situations game?

I have thought about doing this for some time now, and I’ve decided to come to the forum to ask for help.

So I have an idea for a game, where you progress in levels. Each level is a kind of situation you might see out in public. If you’ve ever watched the show “What Would You do?” then it’s kind of like that, except you get multiple choices and the situation keeps going. My idea is that it would be like a cutscene setup, with camera manipulation and speaker dialogue. So, for example, you would choose level 1. You would look at the situation and be presented with multiple choices. Each choice lands you in a different position throughout the level. If you make the right choices, you pass the level as you handled the situation correctly. If not, you lose.

How would you feel about this? Do you think you would be interested in it? Do you think your friends would? Do you have any suggestions to alter the idea to make it better?
I’m open to any feedback on this.

Would be epic. But im not gonna be intrested in sort of game like
“Choose 2 Win”.

I see. I’ll try not to make it like that if I end up actually making it, but with the current idea I have, it might lean a little towards that side. If I could make the game harder to win than simply choosing, then that would help it not be so choose to win. Any suggestions?

Actually yeah. You can’t just choose the level you want. There will be a just a game, where at random time with random hardness will happen situations. Your Job is to solve them, Not just by choosing, By literally saving someone or doing current moves.
But first, you will see a cutscene with camera and all, Like turn back from future. then you will see what to do

So like a cutscene of the situation, but the cutscene ends and you have to handle the situation?

Yep. You will have to solve that and then earning a XP/Money for objects to save.

So a currency system, to unlock more situations?

A currency system to unlock Objects that can save someone.

The Box (lowest price object) - Reduces Fall Damage By ()%
The Gun (Medium Priced) Used to Terminate bad guys.
TimeWatch, And etc.

Else, you can use objects that will spawn AROUND the situation to do the things.

The game would be interesting as you say and would be a game where everyone wanted to spend hours of entertainment
I think you should create high-risk scenes where people get excited about every action that happens (like when someone comes into your house and what you have to do for a living and when they are being beaten)
And also scenes where there is a time limit for the player to get hooked on the story
There are more ideas in mind but it is your decision that you should make

So the style would be kind of like piggy, with objects around the map and a cutscene but of course without a piggy and different storyline, and you also get a shop to buy extra objects you can use?

There is no way you can use it to only buy objects. You can dream everything if you literally minding to dev a game.
Style will be Think, And Do. Not just easy choosing.

so an action-filled cutscene? That would work very nicely

Yes, that sounds much better than easy choosing. Thank you very much for your suggestion! I think I’m going to go ahead and make the game.

The Advantage of games like i suggested, is that it gives a Infinetly more chooses.

So, When you choose between 5+, Its boring.
But when you give free for your Mind, You can do some funny saves, Epic records for youtube, And much more. Everything you wanna.

I see that now, and I agree that giving the player their own choices will be much more fun than simply multiple choice.

You could also add special items that can be saved and used at any time (extra lives, 10 more seconds, skip a more difficult scene) and have good and bad endings and a real ending
If you have more questions, contact me at any time

Those ideas sound great for objects you can buy.

Having more endings would also be nice, but I don’t think a “real ending” would really work out.
But the good and bad ending would!
