I, am a ROBLOX developer who has just recently switched accounts from DevEx. I switched to this account as my main.
No problems with that. I was sent the normal creator tipalti sign up email as shown:
and I signed up and nothing went wrong. So why the hell am I being sent the creator payments portal for star creators…? I am not a star creator and I don’t know what’s going on.
When Roblox did toys of developer’s games, it was called “Star Program”. Not be confused with the YouTuber “Star Program” (kinda silly they named it the same thing).
Since the mystery box toys aren’t being produced anymore, they seemingly use that “Star Program” for new DevEx requesters. It has caused a lot of confusion, so your question is super valid.
Do not fall for this scam. This is a phising mail. Roblox has issued a warning regarding this scam.
Edit: I might have been too hasty, I don’t know if this is a fake or not. Might be real because of the email.
This is the exact email that they send to people joining the Developer Exchange program.
Just tell them you’re not a Star Creator, then? I don’t know how any engineer here is supposed to help with this…

I just got this email too out of nowhere… Should I be worried as a Roblox Developer?
I have also been getting SPAMMED by this email almost every day. I went ahead and created a password, but when I go to log in it doesn’t let me. Trying to reset the password shows my account is locked.
Emailing their support email to see why I am getting so many emails and why I can’t even log in.
