My game, Meet People Across The World | Play on Roblox, is meant to be called “18+ Meet People Across The World 
” and has been named this before.
However I changed the name of the game for an event (Was called “[
] 18+ Meet People Across The World ”). When I tried to change it back to “18+ Meet People Across The World ” it did not let me. So I tried “[18+] Meet People Across The World ” and while this did work initially, upon joining my game the Title is fully tagged (And “(18+) Meet People Across The World ” does not work either).
It’s important for 18+ to be in the title of the game since I have 2 versions of the game. One version which is for Players below 18+ (Meet People Across The World | Play on Roblox), and one for those above 18+ (Meet People Across The World | Play on Roblox). The content of the game is the exact same, and there is no explicit content aside from the Strong Language setting being enabled.

Expected behavior
The name of the game to be changed to “18+ Meet People Across The World ” which was allowed before, or to have less restrictions with “18+” in Titles which existed before.

i see this thread is marked as Fixed, meaning a roblox engineer likely manually whitelisted the title for you. but for future reference, here is exactly why you got trapped by the filter in the first place.
you fell victim to the “grandfathered string” trap. roblox updates their automated text filter constantly in the background. your original title was allowed because it passed an older version of the filter. the moment you changed it for your event, you lost that grandfathered status. when you tried to revert it, the new, more aggressive filter rules kicked in and instantly hashtagged it.
why does the filter specifically hate “18+”? because roblox’s official mature age category is 17+, not 18+. the automated moderation system often associates “18+” with legacy TOS-breaking dating or NSFW games, which makes it a massive red flag for the AI.
pro-tip to avoid this next time:
align your naming convention with roblox’s official ecosystem. name your mature version “17+” instead of “18+”. the text filter is explicitly tuned to accept “17+” as a legitimate experience descriptor, whereas using “18+” will always put you at risk of getting hashtagged randomly during future filter updates.
The Age Access limits that we can set are 9+ 13+ 18+, no 17+, so 18+ should be getting accepted anyways but thanks for the info
