Today after the update i started having the bug where i just can’t do any solid modeling, these day i’m having a lot of issues with this tool in general, like wedge parts aren’t being able to union tool, but now this happen even with normal parts, I really hope that it wasn’t a new feature, solid modeling is one of my most used tool.
Apparently it happens when working with small parts that have an orientation which isn’t between the angle range of 90 degrees. Buttons do not disappear when selecting parts that are perpendicular or parallel to the angle of 0.
Also various studio functions are disabled when this happens such as duplication, grouping and deletion of parts.

For some extra context, I’ve been trying to hunt down the root cause of this myself since this issue started happening sometime last week. I’ve asked friends to send me their log files with the time Studio softlocks for them. Diving into log files didn’t reveal anything. However, I was testing with a friend and found that the very act of inserting models from the Toolbox can also cause this issue* - models that don’t have a single piece of CSG in them.
Studio locking up doesn’t seem to be tied to CSG at all - if anything, CSG operations seem to be the most common way to cause this bug. Thus I am inclined to believe that the very act of adding/removing objects from the datamodel will cause Studio to soft-lock.
*To quickly reproduce - insert a part-heavy model from the Toolbox, delete it, repeat until Studio locks up (usually 2-3 inserts.)
Interesting, on my part I noticed it usually happens after separating a union and once the buttons fade out I need to select a clean part or a different csg operation multiple times to unlock studio although it doesn’t always solve the issue.
