I can't make my model smaller with the Scaling tool

I can t make this swordmodel smaller,F3X-scaling breaks it and the normal scaling Tool doesen t let me make it smaller.Are there Plugins that could help me,or is there something else I’m missing?

You could try to scale it in the 3D Model Design Software itself if nothing else works.

Another way I scale things down is by ungrouping everything in the sword and then making it a union. That way I can easily scale it down.
