I made a fun little game in an hour and I don’t know what I should do with it at all. The game is a waiting simulator where you wait for something. The longer you wait the more time you get. The problem is that I don’t know how to make players engaged in the game, as the only thing in it is waiting. Here is the game: wait for something simulator. I don’t know if I should make something else or if this game has any potential.
lord have mercy archive your game with respect
The sad part is that, usually original and funny games don’t succeed due to Roblox’s main demographic so, ha.
that is totally wrong, i don’t think you understand the roblox algorithm. it’s built towards whatever earns the most playtime. if you make a genuinely fun game, whatever quality it may be, it has a huge chance of success. Look at Doors for instance, it wasn’t luck that got it there, it was pure quality & fun.
for all those devs out there tryna make something they THINK might work on the platform, you’re doing it wrong. work on something that you find fun playing.
ay stop hating on wait in like to get a low taper fade, it’s still massive
If you are a small dev the best thing to do is making a trend game so you’ll have funds for a real game, these days you need 100k 150k+ robux in ads to reach the algorithm even if the game is good.
Commissions money is terrible you earn much less than a mcdonald worker, the most underpayed job ever, i always have to up what they offer x4 or x5 the amount, if they don’t ghost, they just ask me to do some crazy long and complex systems for an amount that is laughable to me, i’d rather spend that time to work on my projects.
Roblox is all about volume, nobody cares if a guy loses respect for a dev there will be another player that will be a fan of his work and spend all his robux on his games. Some people hate Preston to death for giving kids gambling addictions, but he has money and power he doesn’t care.
That isn’t everything: anyone can do stuff and get rich but sell their self respect away. Not saying anything bad abt Preston.
You don’t need much to advertise to your game. OP I think said he only needs a 30k robux m. Which you can get without to much of an issue. Try going the hd discord server instead of the talent hub. And it may be bad but atleast it’s more reliable then working on a game that no one might play
Then get a job if you have an issue. The average dev makes 5 robux tbh like so many games are just dead or privated. And the whole career is given up on. You won’t start as a millionaire. It’s either getting or job or your own thing. Both options sort of suck
I mean if you make a game like op you are lucky if you earn 5 robux, but if you know what you are doing and you have money to advertise you have a chance for sure
Then why need to make cas crab brain rot? If one knows he’ll do well
This game is not a wait in line simulator… my idea is making a bunch of mini games that you can do while you wait for something (you don’t know what that something is).
I’m not trying to make a wait in line simulator
the current game is not at all similar to a wait in line simulator
Very true
To be fair you need a reputation as a small dev to get up there. When there are 10 people playing you have to keep your player base happy and get them not to hate you.
What did I do wrong
the current game doesn’t have any other mechanics than the time increasing. It is not at all like a wait in line simulator
you can get volume with sponsor ads and good ctr thumbnails and game icons
imma argue and say that this is false. i was getting alone 500$ per game that isn’t even hard to develop from a youtuber that needed a scripter on a random roblox server. He would’ve wanted to make more games but he’s taking a short break, its just based on where you look at. Of course people will throw cents at you if you don’t make a effort to actually look!
And you think its that easy to make robux?
