Hey there, i am a solo developer and i have two games that i think are worth posting on here. Feedback is one of the main reasons im doing this, bc ive never got feedback on both of the games, so i hoped youd be able to give me some.

Now just before you play or decide to play, the games are 16+ because i cant meet roblox’s somewhat strict “all ages” requirements.

anyways, here are the games, i will summarize what they are about just if you can’t play:

game 1, Empty Work

the game: you were arrested for “last week’s madness”, basically crimes that a group comitted, apparently you were in that group, got caught, and in your interrogation, you have the option to work or go to prison because your sentence is more than five years. you go to work hoping to avoid prison, and now you have to go through a 30 minute shift that id say is somewhat moderate / hard shift.

game 2, Something terrible will happen to me.

the game: you wake up in a dark, empty town that is almost in absolute ruins. you see signs that something bad happened there (scratch marks on the walls, like huge marks, chairs and tables scattered around inside), and you have no background image of what happened and why youre there. suddenly, an entity introduces itself but doesnt say anything about itself, it just makes it’s presence known to you, the player. after the introduction, the entity will start trying to counter your play style by spawning monsters, giving you a task and mocking you lol.

Hello! I tried Empty Work and i had some problems during the cop dialog, my character appeared here

I respawned and rejoined and it didnt got solved

So i couldnt give so much feedback about this one…
But related to Something terrible will happen to me i would say that i had some scary moments specially when that monsters spawned, also the dialog was threathening at some point

i am SO sorry for that, like im actually very sorry. I will fix this now, thank you for showing me about this issue. I promise this wasnt on purpose, and im sorry if i didnt respond for some time, i wasnt on the devforum a lot. I am really sorry for this.

I fixed it now, it was an issue with the seating code. In the cutscene youre supposed to be sitting in a small interrogation room (the interrogation room being that big gray / black box).

Hello! I noticed your reply to the other user and just wanted to say: please don’t worry about taking time to respond. It is completely natural not to check the DevForum constantly, as I often experience the same thing myself.

I recently played Empty Work and found it to have great potential. I truly admire your dedication to the project and how quickly you jumped in to fix that issue—it clearly demonstrates your passion as a developer.

Here are a few constructive observations that might help refine the experience:

  • Police NPC Animations: Adding subtle idle or speaking animations to the officer during the opening sequence would make the scene feel much more natural, as the character currently remains completely still.
  • Dialogue UI: While the conversation with the officer functions well, the visual presentation of the user interface could benefit from a slight aesthetic upgrade to better align with the game’s atmosphere.
  • Branching Choices: Introducing an option to refuse signing the document—resulting in an immediate alternative ending, such as going directly to prison—would add interesting depth to the opening scene.
  • Main Menu: Enhancing the visual presentation of the main menu would create a stronger first impression for new players.
  • Computer Interface Bug: When activating the computer while in first-person mode, the mouse cursor becomes locked to the screen, preventing exit. This resulted in a soft-lock that stopped further progression.

i read through your feedback, and yes, i did notice that i was probably way too apologetic lol.

i really appreciate it, and i really take it seriously as i never got or get feedback on my games ever, so i just made what i thought was good.

but theres one thing you suggested that i have somewhat mixed opinions about:

the option to refuse Work From Heart.

i mean, what can i really do for this one? sure, maybe a prison escape? but… that’s just too boring, and overused too.

theres really just nothing i can do for this one, so i think its best to either scrap it, or if it really has potential, come back to it later.

anyways, thank you so much for the feedback, it means a lot to me!

Hello! I totally understand your point. I definitely agree that a whole prison escape sequence would be overly complex and cliché.

What I meant was much simpler: a quick “secret ending.” Just a choice where refusing cuts to a text screen (like “You refused to sign and were sent to prison. Game Over”) and returns you to the main menu—no extra mechanics needed!

By the way, as a fellow dev, I’d love to share my game Chaos Island:

It’s a round-based survival game where players fight on disappearing platforms. Unpredictable map events (low gravity, blackouts) mixed with mobility tools keep every round chaotic. It also includes persistent coins, shop items, and a lobby with a mini obby.

Thank you, while the game, Chaos Island, seems very fun, i am unfortunately under 16. the game does sound very fun though, and it does look like it has real potential unlike the low effort top games right now.

also, this is the edited point btw, idk why i didnt comment on this before, sorry for that.

but now that i actually know what you meant? its definitely stronger,
but my real concern is: what if the player just leaves after that?

you know, having to go through the whole cutscene once again is pretty annoying ill be honest, so if i ever implement this, i should do it in a “smarter” way instead of just slapping a button and calling it a day.

Hello! Thank you so much for the compliment on Chaos Island—that really means a lot coming from another developer!

  • 16+ Rating Bug: I updated the content questionnaire in the Creator Dashboard to fix the age recommendation, but Roblox is currently blocking the change until the game reaches 250 player visits to validate it. Since it was locked at 16+, younger players can’t join to reach that count! I just opened a ticket with Roblox Support to get it fixed manually (still waiting on their response). I’d recommend checking your own Creator Dashboard settings just in case Roblox applied a similar automatic restriction to your games!
  • Secret Ending Flow: You make a great point about replayability! Watching the full cutscene again would definitely frustrate players. A simple “Retry” or “Back to Decision” button directly on the Game Over screen would solve that smoothly without forcing them through the intro twice.

Hello again! Just a quick update on that rating issue: Roblox Support just replied to my ticket, and basically told me there are no manual reviews or exceptions.

Their system strictly requires reaching those 250 active user visits to automatically update the age rating. Quite a pain considering the temporary 16+ lock prevents the target audience from joining to reach that benchmark in the first place!

Anyway, I’ll have to find a way to get those visits so the algorithm finally unlocks the game for everyone. Thanks again for your support!

Sorry i was asleep, but i think you should maybe make a gameplay video of you playing chaos island with someone. Or, maybe make a simple trailer.

And yea, roblox’s things reallly are a pain lol.

And for your suggestion, it actually solves the problem i had. Thank you, and ill consider adding that!
