How about instead of having a thread here, we can have a link for RBXDev members to a survey to privately suggest members.
For example, a little button says “Suggest a Member.” Users click it and are taken to a a little survey/text page about why who they are suggesting should be here, their places, skills, etc.
Instead of having to publicly voice our opinions, let the admin council decide which suggestions are good and which are bad.
This will ultimately reduce many conflicts.
Conflicts can always result in everyone learning something and making an informed decision. Conflicts are good, but the people who currently participate in them are not. I think these people should recognize that they lack the skills necessary to carry out unbiased discussion and then conduct themselves appropriately when they feel the urge to participate in any such discussion.
In essence, each one of us knows him or herself better than anyone. I think each one of us knows his or her own maturity level, and if any one of us isn’t mature enough to participate productively in the suggestion process then they should simply not do so.
Just my two cents.

This is the absolute pit of immaturity. If someone here can’t even be honest with themselves about their own maturity level then I completely fail to see why they think they have what it takes to participate in mature discussions.
This isn’t the place to show everyone how big your ego is.

I refuse to tell you, in one word, whether or not I agree with you. Saying “yes” or “no” is completely unhelpful and I will not be that guy.
I think I’ve made my stance on this subject perfectly clear in my posts. Feel free to re-read them and ask questions if you don’t understand my position.
I have no strong feelings one way or the other.
However, a few less flame wars would be nice, and I guess it would make things easier for the admins. Although it also means we can’t call out frauds before they are added.
I enjoy having a (albeit small) say on who gets in here. This feature isn’t needed; what’s needed is some more self control amongst our current members.
While silent suggestions are good, I think an upvote/downvote system with feedback is still good. The system we currently have is good enough if people don’t randomly start fights, and people who have fights started against them would stop fighting back and realize how meaningless and annoying both actions are.
