I might sound stupid here but I have a random curious question to ask

Some might know the game shark bite and the game is massively induced in water. What makes the game less laggy? I really wanted to know what they have added to clean out the performance issues and make the game more playable especially when water is the laggiest terrain in ROBLOX.

I’m not really familiar with the game. But the top of water is just a mesh with a shader. When you’re submerged in water its just a tint on the screen and perhaps some post processing. Therefore when you’re underwater you don’t really need to render the surface of the water when it’s not visible.

As far as further performance goes. A lot of your view underwater is usually obstructed by landmasses or foliage. So underwater there’s a lot more objects closer to you that would be irrelevant versus being on the top of a mountain and looking out into the distance.
