I’m a solo dev and recently updated my game. It’s a fast-paced, round-based tag game where players get sent to random arenas after each intermission
The game might not look as good as you expected because I made it alone, except for some maps such as the lobby and other maps (credited in the corner) that are made by my friends
Latest Update Highlights:
Emotes, trails, and auras for customization
Coin and vote boosters
999 Robux VIP gamepass (includes exclusive items, a cape, and chat tag)
Smoother transitions and new maps!
I sponsored it with 2850 Robux for 2 days and hit 7k visits, which felt amazing for a solo dev. But now I’m at that point where I’m not sure if it’s ready for another round of sponsoring, or if I should polish more first.
Do you think this is a solid game?
The game isn’t fully tested, so expect bugs… That is why I am asking for help
Would love some honest feedback on things like:
Is the gameplay loop fun and replayable?
Are the visuals/maps engaging enough?
Does the monetization feel fair or too aggressive?
Hey, the concept of the game is really fun and I think for a solo dev you’ve done a good job so far. Since the game is about chasing and escaping other players, I think the movement system could be more polished to make the game feel more fun and dynamic. Right now, it feels a bit bland with basic sprinting, and the stamina feels pretty limited.
I would check out untitled tag game - Roblox. Untitled tag, the movement adds a lot to the experience since the core mechanic of the game is movement. Not sure how comfortable you are with scripting, but improving on the movement system can make a big difference. Keep it up!
Fairly well game but movement system isn’t the best. Also the UI is just popping every where. I would aim for less gui and make it more appealing. ANother thing is thumbnails. Before putting more ads I reccomend getting a good thumbnail for the game.
I know… the GUIs are really weirdly made. It was a mistake I made early in development. It would take a lot of time to redo all the scripts and GUIs now, but I’ll try. Thanks for the feedback. :]
It’s not like Untitled invented their movement system. It’s not as if their movement system is revolutionary, never-before-seen, and totally 100% original and new. Why would you feel guilt replicating it when they themselves have replicated it from another game?
Try combining Untitled’s movement as well as Parkour Ninja’s
