I am doing a game conceptual very close to Worms Ultimate Mayhem. This is an artillery game (or round based shooter) that is played between teams of 2 - 6 characters.
There are two main aspects I want to highlight in this game - I need to capture both the goofiness and the destruction. I must be capable of doing good ammounts of destruction, thus big meshes are unviable, and the goofiness is, in my opinion, what can attract younger players to a game with this concept.
Well made water is also quite important (since it will essencially behave like lava, functionality-wise).
I am open to all sorts of suggestions as how I could make this work. Note that, in terms of destruction, due to limitations in the engine, I can only afford to either:
- Destroy Terrain (by filling an area with Air);
- Use multyple small blocks and shoot them upon impact;
- Create unions with the parts it touches. Big parts being unioned can often cause lag.
Also note that the characters will be the classic iterations of “noobs” in the platform as well as weapons will be remodelled versions of classic roblox gear.
