I need mini ideas for my city game!

I am making a minigames game where players queue in a minigames to compete in. the theme of my game is urban city. the minigames should all interact with each other in some way i will give you one of my ideas

  1. parrot parade - In this minigame players will get to catch and choose a parrot to decorate in a zoo at the end of the match players will vote on each others birds as well as players walking by in the city. When voting is over the top 3 birds will be released into the city as Npcs what will fly around the city

  2. Buck shot frenzy - In this mini game players are tasked to shoot unruly birds attacking citizens the player with the most birds shot will win during the mini game birds from the parrot parade minigame can be shot to

believe implementing this idea into my game with tons of minigames will make my game look very lively! there is no limit to how many minigames can interact with each other here are some systems i will be adding to my game that might spark some ideas

  • A subway system to get to different parts of the city
  • the player will be teleported into the train where they choose where they wan to go
  • a sewer system
  • a building that will teleport the player into a dorm hallway where they can find there room
  • lots of Npcs that will walk around the city and into different buildings

Those are a few of my ideas be creative!

honestly this is a cool concept, giving players a sense of world ownership (like seeing their voted parrot fly around the city) would boosts engagement and social recognition a lot

here’s a few ideas that came to my mind for minigames utilizing your city infrastructure (subway, sewers, dorms)

graffiti tagging
players compete to spray paint logos/art on skyscraper walls, the top 3 winning tags stay on the actual city buildings in the lobby

window washing
players wipe windows on those exact skyscrapers, washing off the player created tags awards bonus points

pizza delivery utilizing subway system
players deliver pizzas to the dorm room doors, using the subway saves huge amount of time, making the subway system vital to the gameplay loop

also be careful with npc in the main city lobby, if too many parrots, sewer crocs, or subway trains are active at once, lowend mobile devices might suffer from fps drops, keep a cap on active world npcs (e.g: max 10 parrots at a time)

Hey ghaxtly! This concept is absolute gold. :rocket: The feeling of “World Ownership”—where a player’s actions permanently (or semi-permanently) change the live city—is what keeps players coming back.

The ideas from others (like graffiti and window cleaning) are fantastic, and since you have a sewer system and dorms, here is another minigame idea to tie them together:

  • “Sewer Scavengers” (Maintenance / Upgrades): Players race through the underground sewers to collect rare industrial scrap or lost items. The winners get unique furniture/decor items for their dorm rooms. Then, every week, the top 3 best-designed dorm rooms are featured in the city’s main “Dorm Showcase” building for everyone passing by to see!

This would create a loop where underground work directly boosts social status in the upper city. Keep cooking with this project, it’s looking super creative! :hammer_and_wrench::fire:

Sorry, I didn’t think suggesting an idea would upset you so much. I just had the AI refine my own idea. I guess you’re not expecting my help. Good luck with the development.

You didn’t upset anybody, however, the DevForum is a place where It’s best to have as much human feedback and support as possible. Your idea is still cool though!

Yes, you’re absolutely right—human feedback is much more important. However, when I reread it, I realized that the AI had used my idea as if it were its own. Thanks for pointing that out; I’ll check it next time.
