I require help in the art of mastering (learning) vfx

so i am trying to learn how to make vfx, i have absolutely ZERO experience with vfx apart from very basic particle emitter usage, and none of the youtube tutorials i try work, since most of them are following instructions and not learnin nun, i was wondering if you guys could help me with the basic stuff, like for example what software i should use to make the texture, tips, what plugins i should use and stuff like that

about the scripting part of vfx i have moderate experience in scripting so its not like i dont know nun at all

For texturing, you use Software which is for drawing (GIMP and etc)

which one would u recommend the most of out those?

Mostly likely

Paint.NET (Easy to use)
and GIMP (You need take advantage of tutorials on that)

There is some Plugin, that is for that purpose
(I don’t know it’s name)

From what I’ve seen from other professional VFX developers, they tend to use Adobe After Effects. If you intend to take VFX seriously and plan on working with it in the long run, I would consider it an investment, as it will allow you to create high-quality textures tailored to your preferences.

aight, interesting, maybe in the future ill invest into it if i decide to take vfx seriously
