NOTE: This game I am creating is not even close to ready for me to hire an artist yet, im just planning ahead.
My game is going to be a card game like Magic: The Gathering/Hearthstone. Im not very good at art, so I was thinking: Once the game is useable enough to work, I could hire some artist who wanted to create images for the cards.
These cards would be 150 by 225 pixels in width and height. I would create the character as a 3D Roblox rig, but a simple background would need to be done. I would help out by making the character, then putting that character posed in front of a green screen, then the artist could photoshop it out and add a simple color background for the card.
If this can be successfully done, how much should I pay them? I have hundreds in mind that could be made, which makes me question if this could be done.
Side Question: Are you allowed to pay someone in robux? If yes, how can I?

This is just a personal path, but I think you should talk with them personally and see what you guys can come up with. Maybe they would charge 5,000 robux for one background, a couple hundred for a prop, etc.
For me, since you are helping them with the main characters, I would lower the price by maybe 1/4 or even half of the price. For example if they charge you 10,000 robux for a complete thumbnail, you can bargain for 5,000 or 7,500 robux
Also, I’m decently sure you can pay someone in robux, since on the TOS it said something along the lines of “You can pay someone for their services.” There are different ways you can pay somebody, such as through group funds, gamepasses, shirts, etc.
Hm. You see, the character in front of the green screen color is taken as a picture. It is easily photoshopped, and fit in a card gui. The background is a simple color. This means a lot could be made in a period of time.
Artists usually have their own individual prices, so it depends on who you’re hiring. Some charge a lot, some charge a little. In my experience I never had to worry about this because they always listed their prices beforehand.
Ah, makes sense. I guess I will be asking them when I need it.
