Just lost a bunch of progress due to this… again.
I deleted an instance using the Delete button on my keyboard and when pressing undo either through the keyboard shortcut or clicking the button, nothing happens.
It’s very random when it happens but the frequency seems to maybe be on a per-session bases?
For example, I may have a multiple hour session with no issue, but if in a new place it happens once early on it seems like it happens more frequently going forward until I close Studio.
This bug seems related to re-parenting by draging instances in the explorer. If I drag something into workspace from replicated storage, then delete it, undo will make it re-appear in replicated storage. Redo will then delete it. Additionally, re-parenting something which was put into workspace this way (for example to another part in workspace) does not contribute to the undo stack at all.
And to be clear, ive had this issue go on for probably around a year now. I thought at first it was because I do not have certain beta features on (I do not like the new UI) and because I had to turn Signal Behavior in workspace off to use the F3X Plugin, but now that I have updated my studio, I do not believe that is the case anymore.
In the past week ever since the UI forcefully changed, this bug became and issue every single time I would undo something.
This just happened to me and I lost an entire room I worked super hard on. Please fix this NOW. I seriously cannot believe you are spending your time removing CHAT from people, meanwhile I lose a whole room to your undo system.
This issue is still happening as of December 18th 2025, I haven’t lost anything major because I make a habit of pressing crtl + s every two or so changes (lol), but I have noticed it happening occasionally on parts in models.
I tried recreating the issue, following the steps that made it happen last time, but I was unable to. If I find a consistent method I’ll make another comment though!
This just happened to me, my entire map is gone… The last autosave was immediately overridden and I hadn’t manually saved in a few hours (my fault!) The bug has not been patched.
