I am encountering a bug when setting the Pole property of the IK Controls. The issue only arises when a value is assigned to this property, and does not occur when the property is set to nil. A video demonstrating the bug can be found here:
I have been able to reproduce the issue consistently by filling in the Pole property, and I believe it would be beneficial for the development team to investigate and resolve this issue.
This is the place file that is found in the video, the character in the video is also placed in StarterCharacter. But the bug can be replicated in any place, I tried making another one from scratch in a separate place without scripts, just the Ik controls and the poles. Same bugs occured.
I’m currently running into this issue with and without constraints, I also think having the ability to have multiple poles / linking IKControls would help a lot with limbs that bend in multiple directions.
Until now I am still experiencing the issue. However I did get a reply a month ago I think from a software engineer on roblox that focused on IK Controls stating that they are looking into the issue.
Hey! I was wondering if you found a fix/solution for this? I currently have an animal that im using IK and poles and the back leg keeps flipping for no apparent reason
Unfortunate, i just made a post on it myself, i am going to try and use constraints to make a cone of movement but this is just frustrating overall
Might just do some manual animations
I think animations would really fit better for your situation until they get this fixed, animations wont work for my project sadly as its a game similar to Danny’s Milkman where movement is procedurally generated. Goodluck!
