Quote from the ImgBrick development article:
“To help introduce new methods of importing “data” into Roblox, I have developed ImgBrick. ImgBrick allows content creators to import a voxel based representation of any image file they have. Essentially, for each pixel contained in an image a “part” or voxel is created which contains dimensions of depth that aesthetically matches the original pixel. For instance, a semi-transparent blue pixel (at the edge of a blue circle) would be exported as a blue cube that was also semi-transparent. This allows for a high level of precision in image representation where the physical interactions with the processed result match that of the images actual edging (so where there is transparency in the original image no voxels are generated and thus those areas will not prevent things from moving through them). This is in contrast to a Roblox game containing a single “part” with an uploaded image placed as a texture on top of the part where the transparent areas of the image remain impassible due to the non-conforming brick that the texture lies on.”
This is a place to discuss ImgBrick 4 and upcoming features. I will post updates on here every once in a while.
Please post any bugs you may find or anything you’d like to be added to the features in ImgBrick 4.
Thanks for reading.
