I’m trying to import a blend with a lot of triangles. I know I can untick the import as one mesh button and it will split it, however, whenever I try and do that the normals are inverted. I’ve literally spent hours trying to import parts of each mesh, and it’s been so tedious and frustrating that I’ve given up several times. I also don’t have a lot of time to work with, since I’m still in education and in my last years.
I was wondering if there is a way to import it efficiently and quickly into Studio? If there isn’t, could a extremely kind person please do it for me? I can attach the file here or DM it to whoever is willing to help me. I would obviously do it myself, however as I’ve said above I don’t have a lot of time to work with…
Greetings.
If I understood correctly, you are trying to import multiple meshes to your Studio place.
There’s a faster way (you will still need all the mesh files).
First off, open you place and go to the Game Explorer. (View tab)
You will see the Meshes tab. Right click it and click “Add assets”.
Then, you choose you mesh file (.obj or .fbx). Then, you remove all these options.
Should look like this:
Then, you press “Apply”.
then you wait…
(I choosed something else, yes.)
After you clicked, on the Meshes tab there will have some stuff. Select them all and right click.
Then, click “Insert with location”.
I get that and know how to do that, but my issue is that the normals on my mesh aren’t showing both ways. The box reverse inward pointing mesh normals also doesn’t work. I’ll try importing with FBX, I’ve heard that type supports normals both ways
