Hey! I recently used Cycles to produce a render - but the finished piece feels like it’s lacking something.
Please suggest improvements I can make!
Thanks!

Maybe add something of where the criminal is running from like the cops.
It looks really nice but you can see nearly transparent hair. Did you mean it to be like this? I think it looks really weird. Other than that it look really nice!
I didn’t mean for it to be translucent, but thanks for pointing it out as even I didn’t notice that!
Perhaps some motion blur to indicate the person is running? As it is right now it’s difficult to understand what the piece is trying to communicate across. Maybe add some grass to the rocks, or even crumbled rocks falling down. Perhaps even a sun flare, I feel the environment could be improved by doing so.
The texturing is great! I really like how the rocks have been textured and the variety of sizes, the texturing on the character is great too. Great job!
You could make the character’s pose less stiff and pose it in a pose that looks more like running, maybe along with the camera being under the prisoner to make it look more intense.
Try adding a vignette to make the scene more cinematic. You should also fix the translucent charmer hair. Maybe you could also position the head facing a little bit towards the camera.
Good tips, however, I already added vignette!
I totally agree with that, man!
The pose that the character is in makes it look a bit stiff, The arms look a bit awkward with the way they are placed. Also there seems to be a bit of weird shadowing to the left of the character and above the character. Otherwise from that it looks pretty good!
Rating: 7/10
personally id add more contrast and make the shadows softer
Making the pose a bit less stiff could help with the mood because I was ‘t so sure of what his action was. Was he walking? running? shocked? so yeah, don’t be afraid to exaggerate poses. Also not sure if you can fix this but I saw this shadow that wasn’t rendered properly?
The lighting is too bright, piece needs better composition, and posing needs more work.
