There is a major issue with the group ownership and permissions UI for our group. My username is Yungwzz, and I currently have the highest visible role in the group. However, the group page incorrectly shows another user @EmoteBloxAudio (SocialAsset) as the Owner, even though their actual role is just Holder (as shown in the role management dropdown).
This bug causes the following issues:
I cannot edit roles, remove members, or change permissions, even though I am supposed to be the actual owner.
The public display of ownership is misleading and shows the wrong user as the owner.
Steps to reproduce:
Go to the group admin panel.
Observe role assignments: I (Yungwzz) have the highest role.
The group still publicly displays EmoteBloxAudio as Owner.
I am unable to manage roles or perform ownership tasks.
The group system should display the correct group owner based on the highest role or real ownership status.
I (Yungwzz) should be shown as the owner publicly and have full access to:
In addition to the issues described above, I also attempted to manually assign the “Owner” role to @EmoteBloxAudio (SocialAsset), but it gave an error and did not work.
Then I logged into the SocialAsset account to check — and confirmed that this account cannot remove roles, edit permissions, or perform any owner actions. This proves that the system is wrongly displaying them as owner, while I (Yungwzz) am the real owner but do not have control.
This is a critical bug because it blocks all group management and creates confusion about who is in charge. Please fix the ownership display and restore full permissions to me as the rightful group owner.
I’m ready to provide any verification you need, including account history, creation data, or transaction records.
Hellow @Yungwzz thank you for the details and the link to your community. We’re investigating and will get back to you shortly. Can you confirm when this issue began? Was it due to a transfer of ownership attempt?
