Infernal Deathwalker legs are not versatile

When wearing Infernal Deathwalker legs with a normal Roblox avatar, the avatar’s height is significantly increased. This prevents proper mix-and-matching with other avatars, contrary to the expected versatility of invisible legs.

For context, Korblox Deathspeaker is another bundle on the platform that achieves a similar effect to the Infernal Deathwalker. Unlike Infernal Deathwalker however: the legs from Korblox Deathspeaker are very versatile, wearable with just about any avatar.

Expected behavior

As someone who has personally purchased this new bundle, I expect the legs of the Infernal Deathwalker to not drastically increase the height of a normal Roblox avatar.

This exact same thing happens with Korblox Deathwalker. The Infernal Deathwalker is just a retexture of it, therefore it happens with the Infernal Deathwalker too.

It wasn’t always like this, either. Korblox Deathwalker used to match the size of Korblox Deathspeaker. A few days after they released it they made it a lot bigger for some reason.

Would like to add some images and such to this to outline why making this change would be really great for this bundle

On release, Korblox Deathwalker’s body parts (excluding the arms, just because they’re so long, and the head, which had several issues with attachments and such, which were fixed) were essentially 1:1 scale with the classic character proportions, meaning they could be mix and matched easily with a majority of popular body types on Roblox. This made the bundle really appealing, since it included essentially a headless head, short legs that fit the same as the older Korblox Deathspeaker’s legs, AND an invisible torso with unique particle effects, which also fit pretty well with the classic blocky body parts. These aren’t the greatest images, but they are what I was able to dig up from my own screenshots to represent the approximate scale of each body part on release, vs the post update versions.

First image shows the original scale of the body’s torso, which while not perfect, was the approximate same size as the blocky and other classic body parts, meaning it worked great for mixing and matching in popular avatar types

Second image shows the scale of the body’s torso after the update. The size and proportions don’t even remotely resemble the normal classic body scale, meaning it can no longer work well for mixing and matching.

*Note: there was a bug with the body that lead to broken attachment points for accessories with SFX when I saved the first image, that is why there is a hat floating inside the torso

First image shows the original scale of one of the body’s legs at release, which was essentially 1:1 with classic character proportions, meaning it mixed and matched perfectly with the most popular avatar types. The 2nd image shows how post update, at 0% body scale, the leg greatly increases the length of any other worn leg, which drastically changes your character’s proportions. This update ruined Korblox Deathwalker’s legs’ ability to be used in the same way as the Korblox Deathspeaker’s legs, which these legs are based on

Post update, the ability to seamlessly mix and match the body parts into the most commonly used body types was greatly affected. These changes were not greatly received, as you can see in the replies to the bug report thread that actually caused these changes to be made, however, those complaints seemingly fell on deaf ears, and they were not reverted, nor did anyone that purchased the bundle prior to these significant changes receive a refund or an offer for one.

The ability to Mix and Match body parts from bundles like these is hugely important and maybe one of the biggest factors in the appeal of these event bundles. I think making these changes would be greatly appreciated. However, I also think those who purchased the bundle before any sort of changes like these are made should be offered the opportunity to get a refund for their purchase via customer support; users shouldn’t just have the original version of something taken away from them without an option for a refund if they don’t like the changes made, especially given the premium price for these bundles.

I can vouch for this as an owner of the Korblox Deathwalker bundle. I didn’t mention Korblox Deathwalker in this report to prevent over-complication. Regardless, I hope both bundles receive an update, even if one of them is older than 6 months old.

I’d definitely appreciate if an update to the Korblox version was looked into, but yeah, I meant to make this reply moreso just to illustrate the problems that exist with Korblox Deathwalker (and accordingly, the new Infernal Deathwalker) and the reasons why modifying the body parts size / overall bundle’s proportions would be appreciated by people looking to purchase this new bundle. Kinda went a bit deeper into it than I initially planned when I started typing

If this is really just a simple size adjustment, it’s baffling why it hasn’t been fixed yet. Making the legs so huge completely defeats the purpose of invisible legs being versatile, especially when other bundles like Korblox Deathspeaker manage this without issue. It shouldn’t be a complicated fix, they should scale the legs how their previously were so they don’t throw off avatar proportions. Hopefully Roblox addresses this soon instead of leaving it as a glaring problem that ruins how versatile this bundle really is.

I don’t think this is ever going to change, I’ve spoke on this very issue before, they seem hellbent on making the deathwalker a certain heigh to help differentiate them from the original deathspeaker and to aid in layered clothing which I don’t agree with what with the original korblox deathwalker having no faults at all, they just prefer it being big at the end of the day unfortunately.

Hi folks,

Thanks for flagging this, and all the insights. We won’t be making an update on this, as this was the intended height for the legs.

When we make Avatars, we don’t really take into consideration if their body parts will fit with the Default body or not. If we did that, we’d be limiting ourselves to only Avatars that are stuck at a specific scale.

On the Deathwalker, when we released the original version, we made a big mistake and released something that was way too small. So on a subsequent update, we make it bigger.

We have to make the legs longer to give the illusion of the character floating. We also need to have “feet” so that shoes can be applied to the Avatar.

Hope this makes sense! Thanks for understanding!

Hey, can you take into account the timer for the Infernal Deathwalker? It’s been expired and the bundles offer hasn’t changed since then. Let me know if I should make an external post for this.

I had mentioned about the bundle going off sale as well in a reply of one of mine, New bundle supports classic faces - #5 by calmestweather, still no response but hopefully one will be brought up about it soon enough.

I was under the assumption that the bundle’s entire selling point was the legs? I doubt most players find a solid brown retexture of the Korblox Deathspeaker particularly appealing.

I hope that the players upset by this (myself included) receive some sort of compensation. Perhaps a duplicate bundle with shorter legs? I spent 29 thousand robux on this bundle thinking the legs would fit with normal avatars :pensive:
